- The skill of Being: Feeling grounded, centered and neutral. Holding space and having awareness of what is showing up in the moment.
- The skill of Relationship: Relating to another being in a way that feels safe, connected and open to giving and receiving.
- The skill of Listening: Feeling and listening to what is showing up currently in the body, mind and spirit. What wants to be heard, felt, seen right now?
- The skills of Communication and Understanding: Responding to what's showing up in the moment. Acknowledging how things have been and seeking clear understanding of what is wanted and needed.

Massage tailored to your needs
Every massage I do is unique to the individual. With a background in a wide variety of modalities from clinical orthopedic work to intuitive energy healing, your session will be tailored to your needs. The difference between a good massage therapist and a great one is presence and attunement - an ability to listen to the body, follow intuition and hold space for whatever comes up. I welcome you to open and heal in mind, body, emotions and spirit as much as you're willing. Below is a sampling of massage offerings. This is not an extensive list and my work is typically a blend of different modalities and areas of focus. It's best to discuss with me what your goals are and what you're experiencing in your body as well as other aspects of your life. Starting with that information, I will surrender to the body's wisdom and my intuition as I work.
- Swedish Massage: Classic style of massage using light to deep strokes, kneading, deep friction, vibration and percussive tapping to relax muscles, improve blood flow throughout the body and increase muscle tone. "Deep tissue" or deep pressure may be used when appropriate if your body responds well to it. Deeper pressure does not necessarily equate to greater healing - it depends on the individual and what is ready to be released.
- Intuitive Integrative Bodywork: Because your aches and pains are usually connected to some energetic, emotional or mental blocks, I use energy healing and coaching to balance the nervous system and bring you to greater wholeness and awareness in your body-mind-spirit.
- Prenatal Massage: For moms-to-be, I am certified in prenatal massage and have various cushions for your comfort. Please let me know when you schedule your appointment if you're expecting, how far along you are in the pregnancy, and if there have been any complications.
- Facial, Hand or Foot Massage: These areas can easily be worked with during any massage or they may be the sole focus of your session. Facial massage can be deeply relaxing and also relieving TMJ tension. Reflexology may be used on the feet.
- Abdominal Massage: Have you tried all the medications, nutrition, exercises and therapies you care to try for your abdominal distress and you're still experiencing pain, discomfort, bloating or restriction? Abdominal massage can help relieve bloating, gas, discomfort, back pain, digestive disorders and pelvic pain (lower abdominal).
Materials Matter
The materials we use affect our body - if it's not obvious at first, it builds up over time. I use simple, clean jojoba and sesame oils, Sacred Earth Botanicals vegan massage lotion, and essential oils on occasion. If you have any special needs around products used, you are welcome to bring a preferred oil or consult with me before your appointment if you have any concerns.
